Adored and revered, only to be eventually betrayed by her lover, Shakespeare’s Ophelia drowns alone and powerless due to a world controlled by others. The iconic polar bear is treasured by all and yet abandoned to climate change caused by those who professed their love.
Created with acrylic and spray paint on both sides of upcycled engineered glass. Any untouched surface appears glossy and wet, revealing the depths underneath. Light touching the paint casts shadows that are accentuated on the reverse side of the painting, giving an illusion that the polar bear and bubbles are moving before you.
