In my garden, I have a small nook enclosed by vibrant popcorn butterfly bushes and dusty purple Buddleia bushes, it overlooks an open field that glitters with fireflies in the early summer evenings. In July these plants loom large, their long boughs stretching out with yellow and purple fingers, any negative space is filled with blue sky peering through. I wanted to capture this view- the overwhelming color, the subtle floral scent and the solitude that is found there.
